Origin meaning of EVI :
EV in Turkish means “house”. The meaning occurred when EVI’s endorser (Beni, owner of Radya Guitars) simultaneously mentioned,
"Why not EVI? "
It means ‘house’ in Turkish.” Without another word, the guitarist nodded in approval and added the meaning to it: because music can embrace anyone into feeling home.
For EVI, engaging music to the audience or even to itself must be caressed in its mind, heart, and soul. “Music is sacred to me. If you don’t put your all when playing music; better yet, if you don’t even play sincerely, don’t even think about playing music,” says Deden. In conclusion, music must be heartfelt: to be heard harmonically.

History of
EVI Band
EVI was first known as BOH (Back of Hypocrite) in 2010. BOH was created because Deden (lead guitarist/vocalist of EVI) was encouraged by the condition of his grandmother, causing him to create his first single entitled “Sulit Menuju Cahaya” (Reaching toward Severe Light). He dragged his mates, Dedi (Bassist) and Eky (Drummer), to polish the song dramatically and to establish a band. As the songs play by, BOH added four more songs, entitled “Hatiku Hatimu,” “Pertanyaan Manusia,” “Ilusi,” “Berjalan di Atas Tanya,” and “Jangan Terbawa” until the end of 2011.
In the beginning of 2012, Davi, a new personnel in his synthesizer gears, was proposed by Deden to be a part of EVI’s little family. He added all the bizarre, “fruity loop” sounds (said Tatang, guitarist of The Dead Vocalist) to lighten up EVI’s walls and windows. “If I didn’t love EVI, I wouldn’t know what sacrificing is,” Davi sincerely said.
From then on, EVI believes that a band does not have to be funky all the time; in respect, EVI gathers anyone who needs a home and showering them with its music. Thus, a new formation of EVI was established, permanenting its lead guitarist/vocalist and synthesizer, and adding the drummer and the bassist.
